Laser Therapy

We are now offering all surgical patients the choice of having their wound(s) treated with  laser therapy. The laser delivers specific red and near-infrared wavelengths of laser light to induce therapeutic effects to the area surrounding the wound. It can increase circulation  to the area, decrease swelling, reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair and reduce scar tissue formation. This service would include a laser session immediately after your pet’s surgery and a second session 48 hours post surgery. This type of treatment has been used for many years in the human world with great results, so we are very excited that we can now offer this form of care to your pets.
