At Market Veterinary Centre we have a large variety of cases come through the door on a daily basis, some are routine, others are emergencies. Although all our patients are treated with equal importance, each month we like to nominate an animal for our ‘Brave Heart’ award. This is awarded in recognition of animals who have shown exceptional bravery, battled against the odds or whose story captured the imagination and hearts of staff members!
This month's Braveheart award goes to a Parson's Jack Russell Terrier called Jack who has quite a story to tell – the full details of which, we will never know for sure. A Jack Russel Terrier who was helped by NDAA after being attacked by a stray lurcher. Jake had severe internal injuries caused by a dog attack which was very almost fatal. After a difficult start in life Brady found a lovely home through the Cats Protection League with his new owners Mr and Mrs Cocks. He led a very charmed life with plenty of toys and creature comforts until one day when Brady presented to us with breathing problems.
