Puppies can be vaccinated from 8 weeks of age and then need
a second injection 2 weeks later. They will then require a yearly
booster. If you are unsure whether or not your dog has had its
vaccinations bring him or her to see us and we can make sure
they are protected against common canine diseases.
We recommend regular worming to avoid health problems and
limit public health problems. Puppies should be treated every
3 weeks from 2 weeks of age until they are 12 weeks old. Adult
dogs should be wormed every 3 months.
Many dogs that are not neutered when they are young will
need to be neutered later in life. This may be because of health
problems such as prostate problems in male dogs and womb
infections or mammary tumours in female dogs. We therefore
recommend that dogs are neutered when they are young
and healthy rather than putting them through an emergency
procedure when they are old and sick.
